Why custom breast prostheses might be an option for you:

Surgical reconstruction is not an option based on your medical history or diagnosis.

An off-the-shelf prosthesis may not be available to match the size, shape, and/or skin tone of your remaining breast
- After surgery, the surface of your chest wall may have divots or concave areas that are difficult to fit with an off-the-shelf prosthesis.

- An off-the-shelf prosthesis may be heavy and hot. This may cause back and shoulder injury from the weight.
- If not able to fit properly, an off-the-shelf prosthesis may move and shift requiring you to adjust it to stay in place.
